Es handelt sich dabei um einen sehr wandelbaren Schal aus 100% Alpaka.
This time it is a very versatile shawl made with 100% alpaca, handspun by Sabine!
Man kann den Schal offen als Stola tragen, wie Bridgett als falschen Möbius oder 2x um den Hals geschlungen oder wie ich Breitseite an Schmalseite geknöpft als Poncho.
You can wear the shawl open like a stole, as Sabine did with buttons on one small side , or you can make it into a fake moebius, like I did, by sewing the tow short ends together once twisted. Then you can twist it around your neck twice, like on the pictures, very warm and very soft!

(the name of the animal the fiber came from is after the : and the O with dots stands for Austria, the D for Germany. That's where the alpacas live)

Alternativ dazu habe ich noch ein Vlies von Anika (weiss), dass schon zuvor mit 15% Schafwolle gemischt wurde. Es wurde vor der Verarbeitung nicht so toll ausgezupft und hat kurze Fasern und Heureste mit im Vlies. Daher lässt es sich nicht so gleichmäßig ausspinnen, wie ich das gerne hätte, wird aber auch superweich.
There is an alternative yarn from "Anika"(white) this one is blended with 15% Sheepwool. It also has a few pieces of straw with it,this makes for a more uneven yarn for a more rustic look.

Ich bekomme die Fasern direkt von zwei Hobbyzuchten aus Deutschland und Österreich und bereite sie komplett selbst auf (auszupfen, waschen, kardieren und spinnen) - ausgenommen besagtes Vlies von Anika, das war schon vorbereitet. Die Tiere aus Österreich habe ich live auf der Weide erlebt.
